Crowdsourcing content is a broad approach to generating valuable content. It’s been used in a variety of different ways:
- Crowdsourcing and testing messages from staff and county parties (47:46 and 48:46 marks)
- Establishing a network of creative freelancers for use in digital projects
- Crowdsourcing policy kits (38:19 mark)
- Crowdsourcing data collection
There are numerous challenges to crowdsourcing, such as quality control, reliability of production, and so forth. At the same time, crowdsourcing is a promising approach to lower costs while increasing the variety of input and diversity of thought in production.
